- Your Guild Wars 2 serial code is a 25-digit alphanumeric string formatted like the following code. Your serial code is a unique key.
Guild Wars 2 is a subscription free,* Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game (MMORPG) exclusively for the PC gaming platform. A sequel to the original Guild Wars game released in 2005, the game is set in a persistent gameworld and features a choice based storyline focused around the continued struggles of the peoples of the land of Tyria.
Sorry if this is a redundant question. I'd ask on the official forums, but I can't log in because I need a Guild Wars 2 account.
I recently purchased Guild Wars 2 Heroic Edition at a retailer and when I go to register.guildwar2.com / register.arena.net, log in, and click 'Add a code' and type my code in and hit submit it just sticks on a load screen and never 'authenticates' or adds the code... I have tried this on multiple computers, a tablet, and with Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, and safari. I have tried the code in upper case, lower case, with and without the dashes.
I submitted a support ticket yesterday and haven't received an answer yet, and from what I'm seeing on the forums from what I can read the support is lackluster. I can't even return the game because, obviously, they don't accept refunds on PC games due to the code probably being used already.

Any suggestions here? :( I really want to play this game -- I tried it for about half an hour at a friends and really liked it, and could use his account because he's quit, but I would hate to have to re-do everything, plus I obviously would prefer my own account.
